A quick recap of Reboot Develop Red 2019
Reboot Develop Blue set in wonderful Dubrovnik, Croatia is a well established game developers conference in Europe, which sets itself apart from many other shows by its intimate character. Reboot Develop Red is the first attempt to establish such a show in North America.
Premiere for Reboot in Canada
There are many game conferences every year all across the whole wide world. However, there are only a select few that really get their attendees excited about visiting. Mega events like GDC, E3 and of course gamescom are surely on everyones highlight list, but there are other, smaller gatherings that deserve attention as well. Among these, Reboot Develop conference should definitely be named. This year, the team around Damir Durovic hosted the first North American Event in Banff, Canada.
Conference with a twist
While most conferences take place in big convention centers where people rush from meeting to meeting and then depart to their individual hotels, Reboot Red takes place in a resort, where all attendees stay in the same place. This makes for a very cozy almost family-style atmosphere, which makes getting in contact with each other is very easy. Each day there are several keynotes, seminars and talks to enjoy and learn from. In between, there are short breaks for coffee or lunch that offer the opportunity to exchange opinions and learnings with others. The various stages are named after supporters of the show, which is why the auditorium was named after us: “The zeuz stage”. A visual impression below.
Networking par excellence
All in all, Reboot Red was a solid premiere for the conference in Canada. As the organizers told us, the event will be returning to Banff for at least the next three years. We are excited to see how this conference grows and will continue to be a part of it. Thanks to a plethora of activities and networking opportunities, we had the possibility to make lots of interesting new contacts as well as to foster existing relations.
Thanks for a great show, see you next year.
